Voting

User guide​

Open a vote against an agenda item or as a standalone motion. Directors vote from the Votes page. When it closes, the outcome becomes a decision in the register.

Votes can be anonymous — the tally is recorded, individual positions are not. Use this deliberately: anonymity protects candour and removes attribution.

Technical notes​

  • Tables: vote, decision
  • quorum_required is checked at close, not at open
  • Anonymous votes record the tally in result_jsonb with no per-director rows

Support notes​

"The vote closed without reaching quorum"​

The outcome records as inquorate and no decision is created. That is correct — a decision without quorum is not a decision, and recording one would be worse than recording nothing.

Known limitations​

A vote cannot be reopened. Run a fresh vote; the earlier one stays in the record.
