Quick start
Fifteen minutes, and your board has a working governance record.
1. Sign in and set the board up
Your invitation email contains a single-use link. Follow it and choose your own password — nobody at SanctumBoard ever sees it, including us.
Then go to Settings → Organisation and enter your organisation's legal name, type and jurisdiction. Pam uses these to decide which laws apply to you, so it is worth being exact: a company limited by guarantee and an incorporated association have different obligations.
2. Invite your directors
Settings → Your board. Each director gets their own invitation link. Do not share one login between directors — attendance, declarations and seals are all attributed to a person, and a shared account makes the record meaningless.
3. Add a passkey
Settings → Sealing decisions → Add a passkey.
This lets you put your signature on a resolution using the same face or fingerprint that unlocks your phone. It takes a few seconds and nothing leaves your device. See Sealed decisions.
4. Run a meeting
Meetings → New meeting. Set the date, add agenda items, attach papers. Pam drafts the agenda from your work plan if you have one.
When the meeting happens, record attendance and apologies, then capture each decision as you go. Pam drafts the minutes from what you record; you edit and approve them. She never approves anything.
5. Ask Pam something
Pam is in the right-hand panel on every screen. Ask her a real question — "what are our obligations if a director resigns mid-term?" — and she answers with the section of the Act she relied on, linked.
If she cannot find authority for something, she says so rather than inventing it.
